Hidding A Directory

I'm trying to find a way to protect a folder from being accessed from the "Open" menu in a Filemaker client.

Currently I've set it's properties to be hidden in the Windows OS. However, if a user knows the name of the directory or a file from the hidden location was the last file accessed it will be visible in the Open dialog box.

Is it possible to have Filemaker Server hide or protect it but still allow it be accessed from scripts?

You can hide individual FMP7 files from being seen but I am not sure if you can do it with the entire directory. You may be able to hide the directly by putting a _ or ~ as the first character of the name. I know I have seen that used before but can't remember if it was for FM Server or not. You can hide the file in the document settings I believe.
