Can't print text field set up as edit box

Featured Replies

I've got a simple text field, set up as an edit box. The user can enter "notes" in this layout. The preview shows not content in the box, even if I've tabbed through to another field and left the text in that edit box. In browse mode it looks fine, but nada in preview (and printing) mode. I'm doing this with FM Developer 7 and on a Mac running mac os x 10.3.4 If I format the field to compress spaces using "sliding" then the entire field disappears in preview mode...it's as if the system thinks there is nothing in the field...any clues?

thanks...Sandy

.

Is the text field defined for the table's layout that you're printing or is it from another TO?

Hmmmm the layout is defined to show records from a table called "Contract" and the field is defined in a table called "Client" so I guess it's from another TO. Should I set up a relation between those 2 tables (they are related anyway but only via a ID value. If so not sure what to do actually?
