Is it just me or is this a bug - unrelated globals

When putting a field on a layout, FileMaker allows you to choose a global in an unrelated table, but when you go to browse mode, "unrelated table" appears.

Adding an invalid relationship (between any two fields that link the databases, fixes the problem.

Seems to me that this just clutters up the relationship graph by linking TOG's that don't need to be linked by any valid relationship.

Am I missing something?

That doesn't happen for me, globals appear to be working fine with no relationship.

Are you using 7.0v2? Maybe that was a bug in v1?

woops... It wasn't a global.

It's a calculation field that's based on a relationship.

For some reason it works with the invalid relationship as if it were a relationship - perhaps because there is only 1 record or because of the nature of the calculation.
