Newbies GilloD Posted July 31, 2004 Newbies Posted July 31, 2004 Still a total newb to this, but I grabbed a pretty helpful book and I'm making some inroads. My big question is: Is it possible to draw a relationship between a table and a specific record? In my case, all the data for a real estate site is held in a record. This record is used to generate a slightly more complicated sheet full of demographics and the like, the template for which is held in another table. Would it be possible to relate that table just to one specific record (Say, 123 Nowhere Ave vs. 233 Here St.). I'm still in the planning stages, so I figured I'd check this out before I kept going on.
RalphL Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Relationships are between tables. A record may be related to one or more records in another table. I would not use address as a key field in the relationship. I perfer to use an atuoentered serial number as my primary key.
brucepensyl Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 GilloD What book did you pick up? How helpful is it? Seems there is a need for a good book that goes a little indepth than most I have seen.
