rwc.sheehan Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 A little nit picky of a detail but how does one add those little arrows on the far right of a pop up menu or list? It's real useful for showing people that there's a dropdown menu there. Sounds way too easy for me to even have to ask this question.
andygaunt Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 All you need is a graphic of an arrow and then place that on top of the field in layout mode. HTH
rwc.sheehan Posted August 4, 2004 Author Posted August 4, 2004 ya thats all i came up with but i was hoping for an easier way cuz thats kinda a pain for me to go ahead and get an image ready for that...thanks though
Vaughan Posted August 9, 2004 Posted August 9, 2004 I use FMP-native graphics for the arrows: four or five little black lines inside a square, all grouped together. Fast and easy.
Leb i Sol Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 ...make a portal....screnshot it...crop it...many ways to get "little arrows" without graphis desing background I wish this was the most painfull part about system dev.
macmekker Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 A fast way to get arrows is to type one letter in a font made out of symbols. It's bit-efficient too. Example: On a Mac: letter 5 and 6 in font "Webdings" is arrows up and down. Tight on top of eachother make nice graphics for a popup menu.
Leb i Sol Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Webdings is not a TrueType font! Use fonts with identical names, styles, and metrics on both platforms. If possible, use identical font technologies -- TrueType or Adobe Type Manager, for example -- on all computers that will use the file. Copyright
