MSAccess Ole Object _ Container _ Texas

Goal: Easily convert all ole objects imported into plain text.

Background:

MSAccess database/table has ole objects which is used to store RTF (Rich Text Formatted) data. Since MSAccess has a very short limit on text fields, the developer used an ole object.

I have purchased Filemaker 7 Developer and can import the MSAccess database/table via ODBC.

Once I have completed the import, I could select each object (filename.dat)(one at a time) and right click to get the "export field contents' which will place the ole object into a separate file with the name of the ole object (filename.dat).

I need the ole object on every single record (119) converted and put back into the filemaker database/table as text for further processing.

What I have tried:

1. Searching the columns here.. too many false positives on my word choices

2. Filemaker, Export data; however, container fields cannot be exported

3. Right click on ole object for one record and export to a new file (overly tedious and cumbersome)

4. Creating a second fild (text) and calculating a value from the container fiedl into it... I have not been successful here. I'm too ignorant of the best method to convert the container field and the calculation functions I've tried haven't worked.

What I need:

Guidance.
