Hi, what you are displaying doesn't look like a lot of work for FMPro.

This could be a server or database issue.

For databases, I try to make sure that everything is indexed, that the layouts I use are as simple as possible and that there are no big on-the-fly unstored calculations.

Having said that, this one:

http://adserve.william-reed.net

does a nasty lot of "today" calculations to build that left-side list (sorry guys, too lazy to build it properly), some inlines from another db to make the middle and a whole bunch of "Ifs" (to see if you-re logged in). This is running OS X on an oldish G4 that does a number of other things as well, like file serve, and it's about the performance I normally get.

Which server are you using? My favourite is Apache on one of the unix flavours (Linux, OS X) with the WSC. Are the databses ever used by connected Filemaker clients for admin?

Also, could a proxy server be involved?

Brad,

Check the "Permissions" on your "Rooms.fp5" database. As the drop-downs are not loading. Something could be happening with the [FMP-InlineAction].

All the best.

Garry

P.S. Be aware that Instant Web Publishing and Custom Web Publishing cannot work at the same time.

Yup, I forgot to give access to that file.

All the best.

How would you suggest I allow my technicians to access the full databases (I'm using Instant web publishing) and have users access an easy to use form (Custom Web Publishing)?

Thanks,

Brad

What patch level FMP 6 and web Companion? Are the database files on the local hard disk or a network volume?

I get the same response no matter where the database is stored. How do I check the patch levels?

Thanks,

Brad

Update:

I'm running FileMaker Pro 6.0v4 Windows (English)
