Unwanted Border on Selected Field Box

Featured Replies

Hello all ! I am working on our product's interface design. I would like to know if there is a way to remove the black border when the field is selected ? Also, I am gettting a dotted border on the unselect field, is there a way to remove that ?

Cheers,

Travis

If you're using version 7, you can go to Layouts/Layout SetUp and uncheck "Show field frames when record is active".

It will still highlight the selected field though. I don't know any way around that one.

Using a self-relationship portal may work for you. But it may also be more of a pain to change all the fields, depending upon how many there are on a particular layout. You can try it out with one and see if you like the results.

First, create a self-relationship based on your serial (unique id) field. Then add a one row portal, using the same relationship, with no border to your layout that is just large enough to contain one of your fields. Put the field inside the portal and specify it to be a related field using the self-relationship. Repeat for all other fields, if you like it. smile.gif

I will try the self-relationship portal and let you know how it goes. I am using v6.0 so I don't think there is a layout setup for this option.
