From one of my workers, When inserting a picture into a container, it shows up on the screen (browse mode), hwoever when I go to print the layout, the picture does not show up.

I have looked at this record. I see that the picture was there on the screen in browse mode, however when I go to preview mode, the picture is not there.

The first place I checked was the Sliding/Printing rules to make sure that the picture was allowed to print. It was. so I go back to preview mode and it still does not show.

Any other ideas where I should look???

Thanks

Weird. I selected FMver5 and OS: 98/95 when I posted. well there you go.

I had a similar issue, only my graphic would show up in preview mode but wouldn't print. Here's what I discovered:

A GIF with transparency placed into a container field won't print. The same GIF placed directly on the layout WOULD print. The GIF without transparency would print in either a container or directly placed. PICT and TIF files printed in or out of containers print.

I can't find any other file format that will display transparency in FMP. I have tried EPS with clipping path, TIF & PSD with transparent areas; no dice.

What kind of file format is your image?

I'm using FMP7 on Mac OS 10.3.4.
