BeckhamTX Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 I am trying to set up external Authentication. Everything seems to be set right; I have a group that is set for external. authentication in the database, have a group set up in Active Directory, and have registered the directory service (When i did this, it did not give any kind of feedback, such as successful or not, so i changed some info so it shouldnt work and no response there either..maybe its not supposed to...) Now when I try to open a database hosted on the server, it pulls up the login prompt asking for account name and password. Does anyone have this working, and if so: are you supposed to get the login prompt with an extra "option" to use external authentication, or is it supposed to bypass the login screen completely? thankx
The Shadow Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 You login with your domain account name / password that you put into the group. I don't think the Mac is capable of "single sign-on" without using the keychain.
