Danny Joe Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 I'm trying to indent the second half of a line without also indenting the first, so that the end result - doesn't (can't do it here either) ---- look like: Category: datadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadata datadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadata datadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadatadata So I'd like all the data evenly indented to the right, leaving space below "category." The problem is, every time I indent part of a line (data) the whole line (including the category) is indented. Any ideas?
Lee Smith Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 How does this question differ from the one we answered yesterday?
Danny Joe Posted August 26, 2004 Author Posted August 26, 2004 A: it doesn't regard calculations. B: It offers me new hope of being properly answered
Lee Smith Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Did you check the formating available for text (Paragraphs)? Lee
Danny Joe Posted August 26, 2004 Author Posted August 26, 2004 yes, that also gives me the problem of having the entire line indented, not just the second part.
Lee Smith Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 You are not listing, or I'm not saying it so you can understand. Check out the attached simple file. I did the formatting in the Browse Mode bacause. it is easier to "Apply" and see the results without leaving the Text >> Paragraph editor. Once you get the indents the way you want them, you can transfer the information to the Field in layout mode, and make it default for the field. Lee SomeTextwithIndent.fp5.zip
Danny Joe Posted August 26, 2004 Author Posted August 26, 2004 oops . neither myself nor my Mac seems to know what to do with a .php file, and filemaker turns it into a funny looking table, certainly not what you intended.. should I have done something other than click on Attachment?
Lee Smith Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 You accessed it properly, It's a file format used by this and other sites. Your Browser should have automatically opened it using Stuffit Expander. Stuffit Expander is available in several places such as www.download.com and Aladdin Systems Inc. If it becomes a problem, I can send it to you back channel if you want. Just let me know what email address. Lee
Danny Joe Posted August 27, 2004 Author Posted August 27, 2004 Hey Lee, I got it working.. .and figured it out.. thanks a lot! Dan
