Just trying to find a way to script a change of the background color of a field. Is this possible?

Take a look at LaRettas Field Factory

You'll sort of get the same result there.

Only works in FM7, update your profil so that everybody knows what version you are working with.

Do a search of this Forum for Color, Color Text, or Color Field and it should turn up a lot of discussion about this topic.

There are even a few sample files available in Samples File Area, that should help you
