I run a FileMaker Pro application called Traffic Office Manager in FMP 6.0v4 in Win XP.

Typically I have no problems, however, for some reason it suddenly stopped properly opening the .usr files! It opens from 1-3 files but shows only blank space on the layout and hangs.

.fp5 files seem to open just fine.

I have tried the following:

Uninstalled XP Service Pack 2.

Reinstalled FMP about 4 times.

Recovered my .usr files and had them checked on a mac (they are fine).

Uninstalled some newly installed fonts.

Uninstalled any new apps installed since the last time Traffic worked properly.

I am at my wits end!!

Your situation sounds like file corruption.

Is Traffic Office Manager a commercial Program?

Is it in a served environment?

Has it crashed, or has FileMaker quit while the file was open and or in use?

Do you have a clean backup copy?
