Does FM Server v7 choke on photos?

Is it true that FMServer v.7 only sends the contents of container fields if and when a client needs to view them in their active window?

In FMServer v5.5 I couldn't include many Photo's in a container field because the client would choke with its CPU going berserk when opening a database. I was told that the old behavior was for the Client to download all of the data in the found set and that this has been remedied in FMSv7.
