Is alternate background fill working in FM7? This is the first time for me to use it and I can't get it to work. The background is grey where there is no data.

Oh yes it works very well, particularly for wide portals with a lot of data. The fields must be transparent (right-click, fill-pattern, top-left box). Set the background one color (fill-pattern, top second-from left) then through portal properties set 'alternate' background. Regardless of greenbar's reputation, a pale grey with alternate almost-white appears to be more soothing combination for Users. If a portal is more than 8 (or so) rows or more than 400 px wide, it helps direct the User's eye along the data-line with the least amount of strain. smile.gif
