tom978 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Developer 5.5v1 - The main layout serves as a menu for the data file. The user chooses one of several scripts from the scripts menu. When the script is executed and it returns to the "main menu" layout the text in the layout does not display. When I switch to layout mode it is there just fine. I have tried to bring to front just in case it was somehow moved to the rear but that didn't work. I changed the font just in case there was some kind of glitch there but no change. I changed the fill color of the layout but no change there either. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Lee Smith Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Hi Tom, It could still be the fonts. Can you post a strip down copy of the file? Can you post a copy of your script? BTW, please update your profile to show what platform, operationg system , and version of FileMaker you are using. TIA Lee
tom978 Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 Here is the file. You will see a blank screen but change to layout mode and you will see the text. As is often the case it's probably something very obvious that I am just missing. Thanks for any help or ideas. I hope I updated my info correctly. Tom Street Students.ZIP
Lee Smith Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Hi Tom, The file defaulted to your blank layout. The reason it is Blank is that is set to "View as a Table", and Table View will only show fields, not text like is on that layout. I look briefly the second script, and noticed that it is putting the file in Table View, you might want to view your scripts one by one and make sure that whichever one is causing this, that you have the script take them back to the View you want.
