September 10, 200421 yr Here is a question concerning power outages. We have been having a few lately. I just bought a new APC UPS. It can connect the the server via USB cable. It can then safely shut down the server before the battery runs dry. But because FM Server is not applescript compatible, how would I go about being able to tell FM Server to stop serving the files, thus avoiding file corruption before the server shuts down? Also, what about automating FM Server to start serving files once the server is re-started? Larry
September 10, 200421 yr I'm assuming you're on Windows. If so, the APC UPS software should work with the Windows UPS service to gently shut FM server down. If your system is set for automatic reboot and FM Server is in the Start Menu, then FM Server should start serving files once the server is re-started.
