Searching for line breaks

Featured Replies

Is there any way to do a find for a line break in a field?

Hi Eggshen,

Don't be so cryptic.

Just tell us what you are wanting to do.

What do you mean by a line brake, a return, two returns, a return at the end of a text block, a return before a bunch text?

Once you find it, what are you wanting to do with it. Count it, Replace it with something else, delete it, and another one???

Try this:

In Browse mode, Copy a line break - in a blank field, hit return key, then selecte the contents of that field and copy. Then enter find mode and paste it inside quotes:

 "

"

There's probably a more elegant way to do it, but this works.
