kevh72 Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I've been a longtime developer, but have never utilized XML until now (or rather, I need to use XML now). Here's my dilemma:: I have a contacts table that I want to export to the web via XML. I then want to later import those records back into my contacts table from web using a script. What's the best way to go about this? I've been able to export the records to an XML data source on my local drive. Do I need to utilize a style sheet at this point or should I simply post it to the web? I have a personal website and yahoo site builder tool that my webhosting service provided. Do I need to save the XML source in the same folder as my web pages? Do I have to use something called a data island? Once on the web, how do I import those records? Do I use HTTP Request? If so, what's the proper grammer to use? XML is a new language and I wish I had the time to learn it from scratch... Can anyone help? Thanks.
