greger Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 I use global fields in a network filemaker solution and it turns out that if one user changes the contenet of an global field the change does not apear for other network users. Only if the change is made on the host/server, the change will last and apear for other users. What is wrong? All other fields works great over the network. I use FMP 6.04.

Vaughan Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Your use of global fields would be better serverd with a Preferences file (or table) -- a file (or table) with just one record in it. A "global" or cartesian relationship can then be made to the file to access the data in the fields.
