SecureFM & Minimizing entire FM solution

Featured Replies

Well, I'm implementing MenuBar lockdown (removes FM menu bar and disables all FM menu functions, including windows controls). I'm having a blast with it but I have a problem ...

Sometimes we want to minimize FM to see the desktop. I can script minimize but (of course) SecureFM refuses to maximize again. Dead end. The same is true for clicking on windows taskbar Show Desktop - it minimizes FM but then SecureFM refuses to allow restore. And a script with Maximize is ignored because FM is no longer active. crazy.gif

I want the full MenuBar removal (0|0) but I want HotKey or some way (available to Users) to restore the window. This is only for full minimize FM. I don't want them to be able to minimize layout windows. Or is there a way to activate the windows controls (only to allow restore) within my Minimize script itself? And how in the world would I reactivate windows lockdown upon reopening? Does anyone have experience working with this or modifying a full MenuBar 0|0?

You may have to turn the MenuBar back on before you minimize. I had to do this with FMP 5.5 and 6.

I haven't used SecureFM with FMP7 yet.

I'll give that a go, thank you. However, I'm unsure how to re-activate lockdown from a simple restore from taskbar. Maybe utilizing script event trigger on calc change or when a different window is brought to the front.

Oh such power SecureFM gives me! Now I just need to figure out how to tame it. smile.gif

You may want to check out www.fmplugin.com and check out fmwall this gives you a different spin, and you can use all of the other programs.
