Bible database

Featured Replies

I want to make my own bible database in Filemaker 7. Where would I get the bible text in a data format that I can import into filemaker?

Hi, Chris. You will have to wait until God's computer tech shows up, as His XP box is on the fritz right now.

Seriously, i don't think you're going to find your answer here. Try Google. I imagine there must be several e-books for the Bible.

Thanks Paul... I didn't find what I was after. I already have accordance, but I was looking at something more like the programs I found on FM Files website. Why don't some of the older standalone solutions work with OSX?

OS X was a complete rewrite of the Operating System, and older versions have to ran in Classic. It wasn't until V6 that FileMaker produced a version that was native to OSX.

Not unlike every other software written in OS 9.x and before.

Hi Chris,

I've got a *.fp5 file that has the King James and the American Standard versions with each verse as a record. Too big to post, but email me and we'll see what we can do. I don't know what the copyright status is.
