Filemaker 7 Server...problems with importing

I am frustrated. I have Server 7 running on X. From relationships I can access any file. BUT, when I go to have a script import records from a database it says it can't find the hosted database...although from any other type of script it will. AND I can find it with the dialog when ask to. When I try to edit/view the file location in the script it also says it can't find the file. BUT when the files aren't hosted on the server everything works fine. I am a very experienced FM programmer and I have torn my hair our on this. HELP! !!!
