1. i have 2 network cards , how do i configure 1 just for filemaker ?

2. How do i make sure that users can only use filemaker on my terminal services and nothing else ?

3. Might not be relevant here, do i need to run antivirus as an installation for each terminal user ?

Thanks.

Hi kapilesh,

1)

You didn't specify what version of FMS you're running.

FMS 5.x can only use one NIC and it's the first one installed in the machine. No way of changing that unless you reinstall the hardware.

FMS7 can take advantage of multiple NICs as it piggy-backs on what the OS does.

2)

In the TS configuration you can specify an app that launches when users log on. When they close the app, their session closes so they never get to see the desktop or are able to launch other apps. Talk to a good TS admin about this.

3)

Depends on your TS deployment. If there are no shares on the TS box (so nobody can move files to it) or no users use email in a TS session you're probably safe.
