Export SQL database to file and import into FMP7 ?

Featured Replies

I have a Win2K SQL database that I would like to export to a file and then import it into FMP7.

I have tried to export MDF, LDF, and SQL formats to a single file however FMP7 can not import them. The manual says that I need to connect to the database via ODBC to import, however I would prefer to import from a static file. The SQL db is complex therefore I would like to convert it all over at one time as opposed to rebuilding the db using Excel exports.

Is there an alternative to connecting via ODBC?

Rob,

Export your SQL data to a text file and then import the text file into FMP 7. That should be easy.
