Hello serp,

Dynamic file referencing is not a native capability of FileMaker 7. However there are various third party tools which can be utilized to achieve the outcome you want.

For example, you might consider setting up the script import command to import data from a predetermined location, but precede it with a step which uses a file plug-in to locates the required file and places a copy of it in the default location and with the default name that the script will target.

There are various shareware plug-ins which can be used for this purpose. Perhaps the best known of then is Troi File.
