Can somebody explain me how to use print setup to control page size and orientation.I have tryed to make script after print setup and print but fm always forgets orientation and page size.

Posted

Script | Print Setup | Specify page setup | Size | Orientation

The script step will then show Print Setup [Restore], which will then be your default for the next run.

Complete Newbie here... I have the same problem. FP7 mac and windows.

Transpower, can you elaborate a bit on the script instructions you've provided? Looks easy, but I dont even know where this goes... I've tried creating a button for printing... then using "perform script" ... but I never see anything related to printing after that. Is this script in another file? Or is this something I have to write myself (which I have never done before) in the "specifycalculations" window?

Medmonds,

I have the same problem (with more than one printer), i've tried everything to make it work but without luck.

I'm using FM Pro 7v3.

If i make a scrip very simple like below:

Print Setup [Restore] (in the script i choose printer 2)

Print []

In this case it should print to printer 2 but it doesn't!

I'm really desperated beceause i converted all my applications to 7 and everybody has to choose their printer manually.

Not positive about Windows, but on the Mac, the printer choice is stored in the Print script step.

Hmml, on the Mac is DOES print to the printer choice selected in the Print dialog, rather than the user's default printer. This is behavior I don't like.

I'm just amazed you were able to find that article on FMI's website. I can never find any useful support articles.
