How do you get the find criteria into a field?

Featured Replies

I want to be able to do a find and then have a field that shows what was entered as the find request. For example, I do a find for "widget". I want the results to appear and have a field that says something like "Your search for "widget" returns 34 records", like you see on many searchable websites.

How do I do this?

If you create a scripted find where the user enters the find requests into global fields in Browse mode, then switches to find mode and copies these requests to the real fields, you will have a copy of the find data in the globals.
