Layout with a table (like excel spreadsheet)

Featured Replies

Hi to all, its me again! I'm realy have a big problem, i need to insert a table in my database, i tryed to made a link with excel, but, the interface between the 2 programs are realy slow, so the solution maybe will be build a table like a speadsheet directly in FM 6 layout.

I need to know how i can do that table!

Plase someone help me!

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you have FMP 7 (as your profile suggests), you could use The Shadow's custom matrix functions to make a table.

FMP 6 (and later) has Table View, which simulates a spreadsheet.

The answer depends on the nature of the Excel spreadsheet you're trying to emulate. An element in the spreadsheet would be a record/field in FMP, and the whole assembly could be viewed in Table View, as Vaughan suggests. But if you would like to manipulate the whole collection, as in a matrix, then the custom functions would work.
