I am using the Set Field for a global field ---

I would like to format the text - use carriage returns to format the text in the field - is there a way to do this?

You haven't given us much to go on and I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish. But if you wish to append the existing text in the global by adding a carriage return at the end (to then add more text), you would use something like:

Set Field [ GlobalField; GlobalField &
