I need to create an FMP script that will copy an email address from an FMP field, open up the default mail application on the host computer - and then create a new email with the email address from FMP as the send to address. I'm guessing I have to incorporate an applescript to handle the non-fmp segments of the task. Am very new to applescript, however.

Any help or suggestions pointing me in the right direction much appreciated!

Hi Whit, and Welcome to the Forum.

You don't need AppleScript to do any of this.

Do a search for Email + FileMaker.
