Support Dll File missing

Featured Replies

I upgraded my solution to fP7 and just released it. I am getting some feed back that when they try to load my two solutions they are getting this error. Any ideas?

The SUPPORT.DLL file is linked to missing export NETAPI32.DLL:NetApiBufferFree.

Are you creating a runtime? What OS did you bind in on? What OSes on the clients?

I am using WinXP professional Version. The solution was downloaded many times but I have two people reporting problems with a error comming up on their machines.

I can't get the error to reproduce on my winxp, winxpro, winserver2003 or my laptop. I searched for the error string on the filemaker site and found no recorded errors like that. I wonder if it was a bad compile. I have since recompiled one program and have asked them to download it again and try it out. What is odd is I tried both versions before I released them for download and they both loaded without the error.

The systems they are using are win98, winME. (So far)

The problem is more than likely on their machines (old OSes, not updated, ...). It would be interesting if you could bind on W98 (maybe through Microsoft's Virtual PC) and try that version.

None of the FM7 line is supported on Windows 98. I would imagine the runtimes won't function there for the same reason - a runtime is really just FM7 bound to a set of files.
