October 30, 200421 yr so..I'm running FM Server 7 on a Mac running 10.3.5 (not server).. I'm bound to my company's active directory.. but my users are still prompted for a login/password.. FM tech support said this is an issue with how os x (doesn't) pass the credentials along.. does anyone know if this would be different if I was running OS X Server ??
October 30, 200421 yr Single Sign On is a Windows OS client to Windows Server functionality. mac OS X clients should store their credentials in the keychain to mimic SSO capability. Also, the OS X accounts must be set to "Log on as service" where they are authenticated. This is generally covered in the Server and the Security tech briefs on the FMI web site: [http://www/filemaker.com/upgrade/techbriefs.html] FileMaker Server 7.0v2 changed a good deal of this behavior, including removing the Log on as Service requirement and adding support for UPN and UNC syntax at the Domain level.
