hide close box w/out a plugin

Featured Replies

there are 2 things i would like to do without a plugin. i would like to hide the close box widget (Mac OS 9) without having to pay for modifyWindow. i would also like to be able to rename a file without having to pay for modifyWindow. meaning rename invoice.fp5 to "Inovicing" in the db's title bar. is this possible? is this done with AppleScript or AppleEvents? does anyone know?? thanks. i mainly dont want to have to rely on a plugin to do these things, its not the money for the plugins.

1) The only way to lock out the close box without a plug-in is to keep the user in a looping script.

2) I don't think there is a way to change the window name set by FM in a dynamic way.
