November 5, 200421 yr Hi-- Quite awhile ago -- I believe this solution may have been developed with a pre-6.x version of FMDev, maybe 5.5? -- I developed a runtime. I now have a client who says she is getting the notorious "This copy is either already licensed to another user or is single-user and is being opened over a network." error. She only has a single machine, and has no copy of FMP installed. She's tried restarting a couple of times, to no avail. Does anyone recall the solution for this? All My Best, Jeffrey
November 5, 200421 yr Nope. I believe a restart of the machine should have been all that was needed. I fear that the file is corrupted. Whenever I have gotten this message, it has been because FileMaker has gone down. I could get rid of FileMaker's message with a Restart, or by turning AppleTalk off, and on. Unfortunately, this didn't always mean the file was okay. For some reason, FM interrupts a the restart of it, as trying to opened a second copy of the program, with the same number. HTH Lee
