Does anyone have any experience of a script that sometimes works then stops working at random times?

I have a script which runs through a few fields duplicating some data and inserting the text 'updated' into another field so the users know it all works. Thing is, sometimes the script stops working for no apparent reason.

Opening and closing the script in scriptmaker. Or reselecting it in perform external script also seems to 'wake it up'.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

I should also point out that it happens on PC and Mac clients.

It's safer to use Set Field, rather than Insert Text.
