KCOnABQ Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Novice here. I am trying to print labels with the same text on every label to go on folders to be given out. The self-adhesive labels are from Office Max and do not have a standard format id. They are on 8.5 x 11, 3 across, each is 1" x 2 5/8" , 30 labels. I have 3 lines of text on each and the first line is a larger font size than the other 2 lines. I set up the label sizes manually at 1" high. When I print them, as you move down the page, each block of text moves just a little bit farther down in the label. Could the larger font size on the first line of text be causing this? What to do?
transpower Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 The height is from the top edge of the first label to the top edge of the label below it. If you measure your actual blank labels, what is that measurement? Enter that in the label layout format and you should be OK.
KCOnABQ Posted November 9, 2004 Author Posted November 9, 2004 That measurement is 1". That is what I entered. Text still slides down.
KCOnABQ Posted November 9, 2004 Author Posted November 9, 2004 BTW, I tried it with the same size font in the first line and it still slides down. Seems to me that the input measurement of 1" is not exact. I will try a smaller size.
Vaughan Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Is the layout set to use sliding/printing and reduce the size of the enclosing part? The sliding/printing left and up is OK, but the part should remain the same size.
