deego55 Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 We are hosting our databases on Server 7. I want to make one of them available through Instant Web Publishing but have come to realize that this might not be possible without having Server 7 Advanced. Is there anyway to do this or are there other options to posting this database on the web?
Steven Cappiello Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 No, I don't think there is... (and I think that is completely ridiculous since any bozo with FMPro can run IWP solutions)
Vaughan Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 You could put FMP 7 on a separate box and host the IWP from there. (I think.)
Barbecue Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 FileMaker disables all sharing options for any file hosted on FM Server 7 (no no web publishing, no odbc/jdbc) <satire> We contacted FileMaker about this controversial decision, and were given the following statement by Vice-President in charge of Legume Quantification, Frank N. Beans: "This move will position FileMaker Server Advanced as the premiere giraffe catcher in the Himalayas! A brisket in the casket but where's the basket? No tentacles, shut up. SHUT UP! Rice pudding! Blibble blibble blibble..." </satire>
Wim Decorte Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Yep, but you're limited to 5 connections.
