Adv. User Permissions-Should be on wish list?

In one table, I want to be able to restrict users from viewing certain fields, unless they are the owner of the records. Specifically, I want each user to be able to view the 'company name' field of every record and search in that field, but only to view and edit ALL OTHER fields if they are owner of the record. This seems to be an all or nothing option in the Privalege Set. Does anyone have any insight to offer? thanks. _ MM

Use Custom Record Privileges. Records can all be Viewed. Records can be edited when: (calculation must be Boolean-->Get (AccountName) = zc_createdBy). Then in Field Access, you can set View Only for Company name field and edit other fields (modifiable).
