The find function not working as it should.

After migrating a FM 6 file to FM 7, I noticed I can't find some records which I know are there. I just get a pop up message with "No records match this set of find requests"

When I view the file in table mode I can find the record manually.

What am I doing wrong?

Check the find requests stored in your find scripts. FM7 stores the finds right within the script and you can view them.

Please excuse my ignorance, as I'm not very familiar with FM.

This database is very simple mailing list, which the only script I use is to isolate a particular country.

When I carry out a search I use Command F which brings me into a search mode.

I usually type in the first few letters or in full, but now it doesn't seem to be working properly.

What I have noticed is that if I type in; lets say the letter f in a field I would get some records but not all that contained the letter f but of those records which do appear can always be found when carrying out a search.

All fields are text fields which are all indexed, I have also tried exporting to Excel and then re-importing into FM. Still the same.

I just can't figure it out? I feel I must have something set incorretly somewhere.
