Web Publishing Engine Installation Failure...

I am trying to install FMSA 7 Web Publishing Engine on a Windows 2003 Server SE running IIS 6. I get the following error at the end of the installation process:

"Opening Key /LM/W3SVC/1/Root Failed ...default"

my only option is to select "Ok" which then leads to a final screen stating that the installation was interrupted and not successful.

I noticed that the "Filemaker Publishing Engine" service does not appear in the Services Manager. I am unable to access the Web Publishing Console from the http://localhost/fmi/config.

I also took note that the Global ISAPI filter installed by this causes the my app pools on my IIs web server to stop working.

Has anyone else encountered this error. I have scrubbed the internet for possible solutions and have come up empty handed. I also spoke with Filemaker Tech support for about an hour with no success.

Never seen that error reported anywhere.

Did you try removing, reboot, reinstall?

What else is running on that machine?

Well,

I got the same error after reformatting the server.

Server Specs:

Windows Server 2003 SE

IIs v6

running websites:

Administration

Windows Media Administration Site

Sharpoint Central Administration

Frontpage Administration

I'm going to call Filemaker Tech Support again.
