My goal was to redo my solution with multi tables in one file.

I created new tables in 7 with fields indentical to 6.

converted each 6 file into a 7 one at a time

then imported the records from the individual 7 tables into my multi table solution

All of the tables imported except one table. The progress bar showed records were being imported. The dialog box says 32802 records imported, but when I go to the layout no records are there.

I did this 3 times, once I created a new layout Same results. I did make sure the found set included all records. I am using 7.03

Hi there Steve in Yakima, I did this I think. First thing to check is that the layout is based upon the base table you are importing into. I read that and when I checked, I had the wrong layout.

Oh and imports now have a funky little pupup at the top. make sure it's grabbing the right stuff. I visited Yakima once!! Very pretty place!!! laugh.gif

Sorry I mean you must actually BE on the layout you are importing into. I'm sure. Well, pretty sure.

I thought you solved my problem because I did not pay any attention to the pop up. (I did make sure the layout was correct). I tried 2 more times and still no records. I think you are on to something. I change the name of the file after conversion and both names appeared in the pop up I think. I am going to do another conversion then import without changing the name.

I finally figuired it out. My target table had a field with required data. But it was a new field I added in the new solution so no data was comming from the source table. I had the auto enter feature truned off during import becuase I wanted historical data. The morral is convert the data exactlly the same then add new features

DOOOOOHHHHH
