Hi,

I have a solution, in which all layouts (over 50) are made for 1024x768 resolution. Most layouts are packed with fields, pretty much filling the whole width of the layouts.

Now I'm trying to figure out a way to print these layouts also on portrait-oriented A4 (for which the layouts are way too wide), but without creating a narrower copy of each layout for printing.

Is there any way to make too wide layouts to fit in a spesified page size?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated,

The standard practice is to make separate sets of layouts for screen and printing. Then script the printing process to change to the appropriate layout and back again.
