Newbies eagle1 Posted November 25, 2004 Newbies Posted November 25, 2004 Hi, I'm dealing with a strange file. It's a normal FP5 db, with some user and some different privileges. I've guessed the admin password (the pwd was admin :, but I cannot even access the ScriptMaker, or view/modify the fields. I know that is possible to "close" this features by FileMaker Developer, creating an "execute-only" files. It is possible to "open" this file in the right way, or see the fields to understand a calculation? I need this 'cause the developer of this file is dead, and is impossible for us to recreate all the DB.
Reed Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 If the file has been protected with Filemaker Developer, then there is no way to see the scripts, calculations, or database definitions. You are just SOL.... Why is it impossible to create the DB? I assume if you've got some access to the file, you should at least be able to export all the data to another file, and then just rebuild the functionality you want. It shouldn't matter if you do it the same way that the previous developer did it. I'm sure that people in these forums can help you to create the DB.
