I am using filemaker 7 but when I email from my file it always includes my name and address from my regular email account in Mac Mail. program coming with panther. I would like to use my anonymous yahoo email account as my header on outgoing mail. Is this possible and how?

Hello Stann,

FileMaker picks up the default email account from Apple Mail (or from whatever other email client application you may care to use).

That means you have two options. Either re-set the default addess in your mail program (go into mail poreferences and, on the accounts tab, drag a new address to the top of the list), or use a different method to send email from FileMaker.

If you choose the latter option, there are various plug-ins to choose from, or you could try your luck passing data to the email client via a browser (as a URL) or via AppleScript or a Macro program (eg QuicKeys). My recommendation would be a plug-in - probably SPTPit from CNS, but YMMV.
