Just instlled Filemaker Server 7 on a test server and updated the files to this server. Installed Filemaker 7 pro on 3 workstations and gained access to the above server, using the username and password from the previous installation. Everything good there. We want to access the files via Active Directories and have setup the initial group "fmsadmin" and inserted a group of users from the domain. I inserted fmsadmin into the accounts and privileges with External Server and full access. My understanding is that people within this group should gain access to the file and not have to login to the file, that authentication should be from the fmsadmin group on the domain. I have tried this countless times without success. Hoping someone can help.

From the three workstations, are you using File | Open Remote.. to connect? I hope you're not trying to access the files directly on the server share.

After browsing the posts some more, I found one mentioning a new update patch to 7.02. After applying the patch, active directories works properly now.
