lookup calculations

In Filemaker 3,I have a field that looks up info. from another file. I would like to set this up to lookup only after a certain calculation or set of parameters. Is this possible? thanks

The easiest way to do this is to use a calculation to generate the key field used in the lookup. Force the key field to be a blank until all the conditions you desire are met. -bd
