For the record, I've read Kurt Knippel's response to Violette's message in this forum titled Portals. Violette raises an issue similar to mine. I can see from Kurt's discussion that using the phone number field the way I have in mind isn't such a good idea. However, I have other fields that would still work well, so my original question still stands.
