rmconlon Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to specify a specific row and column for printing a label instead of creating a whole sheet of the same label. For example If I wanted to create return address labels, but instead of printing a whole page of labels, I just want to print on the label located in col 2, row 3. Any thoughts??
Vaughan Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Search the forums and other FMP-related sites, this topic comes up regularly. Most solutions to the problems are usually quite complex and elaborate, either involving the creation of blank records or lots of layouts. Perhaps both. If you are trying to create a solution that lets you recycle sheets that have one or two labels missing, be aware that problems can occur running such partially used sheets through laser printers. Expensive problems.
Lee Smith Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Hi rmconlon, Vaughan is correct in what he says. Do a Search for +Print +Blank +Labels and you will get an abundance of hits. Also, this site has a couple of tip files showing how to accomplish either of the things you mentioned. Click Here to go to Fmfiles.com. While you are there, take a look around, as this site is one of the better Tip and Trick FileMaker Sites. HTH Lee
