I was wondering if someone could point me to a reference (good one) or whitepaper or ?

on using fm7 Server.

also is there something anywhere which explains what the 'gotchas' will be when you move over to Server?

Anything in particular you're looking for. For all its benefits, FMS is really a fairly simple product.

There's a white paper on the FMS7 on the filemaker web page. There is a networking guide in the downloads section of my website (www.connectingdata.com) but it's dated (going back to FMS5), though still a good reference is you're new to FileMaker Server.

I'm going to be putting my first application on FM7 Advanced Server. I have developed it using FM7 Developer and the people who are using it have been testing it that way. Now we want to put it on a server so that the data can be shared between the users.

I'm basically trying to be proactive and get some ideas as to what kind of things I need to watch out for as I migrate to this Server. I'm really praying that it will be a smooth transition.

I'll check out the whitepaper you mentioned.

any other suggestions?
